I was asked to take part in a Wizard of oz, styled photoshoot, great for wedding inspiration for couples, it grew into a steampunk fusion, with the most inspired mechanical makeup for the ‘Tin man’ groom!
This amazing makeup is by – Hannah Harrison, captured so beautifully by Kieran Paul Photography with 10 years of real wedding experience, the images are so sharp and true on this glorious summer day!

Dorothy’s shoes wedding garter
My own part was this hand embroidered wedding garter, with Dorothy’s shoes… Although I wasn’t able to be at the shoot, I sent through a collection of garters, that went with the vintage / poppy / red shoes theme…
With the ‘Dorothy’s shoes’ wedding garter, I was going for a 1940’s feel. A neutral colour, cotton nottingham lace, slotted with peach silk ribbon, sky-blue ribbon roses and blue and peach long tail bows under the hand embroidered shoes, with tiny red beads for buckles.
The venue was Thief Hall in Northallerton, not Kansas, but with huge yellow fields, the location was stunning!

This cheeky photo would have made a great garter photo! Dress by – Elsie Vee Vintage She used an original 1940’s dress pattern to create the stunning blue satin dress with layers of tulle and hooped floral petticoat. Her gorgeous red shoes are Irregular Choice
