At Silk Garters, privacy protection and security of your information is of the utmost importance to me. I will never sell your information and want you to know, you will always be treated with the same consideration I would expect when shopping online.

How I collect your information
I collect information about you when you contact me via my contact page, email direct, place an order, create an account or subscribe to my newsletter.
What information I collect from you and why
The personal information I request from you, is either for the purpose of processing your order or to return information to you via email, this information will never be sold to any third party.
The information I collect from you may include your name, address, email address and IP address. All the information you provide me with is used for the sole purpose of making and the delivery of your orders.
Your rights
Under the new GDPR 2018, you have the right to access, amend and delete any of your personal data that I hold. Please contact me using the Contact form, clearly stating your request.
Payments

Newsletters
If you choose to subscribe to my Newsletter, I only use the information provided by you to contact you regarding news and offers I think you may be interested in, you can opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of my emails.

Links to other websites
My website contains links to other websites, particularly on the photography credits page, this policy only applies to my website and I cannot be responsible for the policy’s of other sites you visit, I recommended before using their services, you read there individual website policy’s.
Google Analytics
To help me provide a better browsing experience, I use a third party service Google Analytics to track and report my visitors behaviour on my website. It shows me ‘bounce rate’, where I need to improve and the number of visitors to my site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. Like me, you’re probably driven crazy by little popups asking you to agree to the use of cookies… They are small pieces of data, downloaded onto your computer when you visit a website, collecting browsing actions and patterns to help the website recognise when you visit again, helping to make it a smooth experience for you the customer… eg. I use cookies to remember your items in the shopping basket while you browse my site. By continuing to browse this website, you are agreeing to my use of cookies.

All the designs are hand-cut and hand-made, so slight variations should be expected, colours may vary slightly due to the settings on your computer monitor, for which I cannot accept responsibility.
I take great pride in what I do and I’m careful to accurately describe and photograph my products and all measurements are approximate. Fabrics and laces for each item are outlined on each product page. If you are unsure of anything, please contact me. All my garters are delicate so please store them in their individual gift packaging to avoid items being damaged.
