A Gift From the Groom: A Wedding Garter Filled With Love ❤️
Every so often, a story comes along that captures the true meaning of love, and this one still makes my heart melt.
Recently, a groom reached out to me with a beautifully thoughtful idea. He wanted to give his bride a gift that was not only personal, but deeply meaningful. Something she’d treasure forever. And his idea was beyond romantic…

He had saved the shirt he wore on their very first date and asked if I could use its fabric to create a one-of-a-kind wedding garter for his bride-to-be. A small detail from the beginning of their love story, transformed into something she would wear on the day they say “I do.”

As I carefully stitched each piece, I kept thinking about that moment—her surprise, her emotion, the joy she would feel when she discovered what the love of her life had arranged for her. Creating pieces like this is one of the greatest joys of my work. It’s an honour to turn memories into something tangible and beautiful.

The grooms shirt fabric, edged with ivory lace and appliqued with floral motifs, embelished with pearls…
Would You Like Something Personal Included in Your Wedding Garter?
If you have a special item, perhaps a piece of fabric, lace, jewellery, or a sentimental keepsake. I would be absolutely delighted to incorporate it into your bespoke garter. These meaningful details add a beautiful layer of emotion to your bridal accessories, turning them into cherished heirlooms rather than something worn just once.
Whether it’s a snippet from a loved one’s wedding dress, a button from a favourite shirt, a tiny charm, or a piece of material that holds personal history, I can carefully weave it into your design. It’s always such an honour to help brides carry a little piece of their story, or a memory of someone dear, with them as they walk down the aisle.
Your wedding day is uniquely yours, and your garter can be too. If you have something special in mind, I’d love to hear about it and create a piece that truly reflects your love and your journey.
Just let me know what you have in mind.
With love,
Catherine x
